Born and raised in South Korea, Jihae Kwon received her BFA in illustration from the University of Utah and completed her second emphasis in graphic design. After working as a graphic designer for over a decade, she shifted her focus to fine art and earned an M.A. in Art and the Book from the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C.. While working for BYUH, she earned an M.F.A. in Graphic Design and Visual Experience from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah GA. Her artist books have been exhibited and placed throughout the country, including at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Center for Book Arts, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Otis College of Art and Design, Stanford University, and George Washington University. She is actively involved in graphic design, book arts, and printmaking focusing on lithography and letterpress printing.
